Staycation in Dublin

As a result of the pandemic we have been spending more of our precious holiday time exploring our own country and the term “staycation” has entered our vocabulary over the last 16 months. Which isn’t a bad thing as how many times have we said to ourselves that we don’t take the time to explore our own country! Aside from our brewery tours there are so many things to do around North Dublin that you should be part of your next staycation or day trip.

Call us biased but we can’t recommend enough Mark McHale’s Hidden Howth Experiences. Getting the locals’ knowledge and insights of what to see and do, as well as where to dine and drink, can give you amazing experiences off the beaten track and away from the busy, well-known tourist spots. Mark’s tours provide just that and he has three to choose from: Craft Beer & Seafood Trail, Hidden Howth Experience and Ancient Village Adventure.

For another truly unique experience a few hours foraging around Howth head with Nicole Dunne is a must! Nicole was born and raised in Howth and her philosophy is that nature provides us with more than just vegetables as a food source, there is health and healing all around us, it’s just a matter of knowing what’s what for a more sustainable and thriving life. Get in touch with her on her Facebook page.
